Some things in life are easy–I didn't have to look very far to find the love of my life, because I quite literally married the boy next door. Some things in life are hard–we struggled to create a family of our own. We were married for almost six years before we welcomed our twin girls and Eddie came along after another five years. Throughout our journey, my Heather Moore charms have helped to commemorate the events and people I cherish most in life. <3
The year 2020 is one to be remembered by all. My family, in particular, suffered a great loss this year. My grandmother, Joyce, passed away March 25 in the midst of a global pandemic. Grandma Joyce has been my biggest inspiration growing up. She became a registered nurse in 1953. She continued her career in the medical field as a physicians assistant, and as a parish nurse until 2010. In the year 2010, I became a nurse. I was always fascinated with visiting my grandmother at work and hearing her stories of helping others. I knew since I was a young girl that I would become a nurse. This year has been a bit surreal. I know my grandmother would be proud of me. Health care providers have stepped up to the challenge during this time. I wanted to create a piece to remember her by. I chose to use her signature to create a one of a kind piece. The picture I have attached is from her nursing school graduation in 1953. In the corner is her signature. The necklace is a reminder that I made the right decision to become a nurse and I will always keep her with me.
I was first introduced to Heather B. Moore by a friend at work. I went to a local jewelry store that sold Heather B. Moore products and purchased a necklace with three silver charms with my children's names stamped on them. After purchasing that first necklace, I decided to add to my collection by getting a silver and rose gold necklace with different size/shape charms. I then started working with Missy Bleick, an Account Manager at Heather B. Moore. She took the time to get to know me and help me choose additional jewelry pieces to add to my collection. I tend to gravitate toward designs that allow me to document family memories and the names of my three boys. Missy has helped me design several necklaces, a bracelet, and a ring that reflect my style. I love having a variety of options that highlight my children in different colors and textures of gold and silver!
The first time I saw Heather B. Moore was in a boutique baby store. I was pregnant and my husband and I were excitedly planning for our baby. I fell in love with the jewelry! After I had our daughter, and my first Mother’s Day was approaching, I poured over the catalogs to decide what I wanted on my first charm. Since then, I’ve gotten a Heather Moore piece each Mother’s Day to celebrate being a Mom to my daughter. I’ve also added a heart charm with my Grandmother’s Handwriting, “Love you” from the last Birthday card she sent me.
